Solomillo (Pork steak) with Pineapple Sauce
Swordfish Steak with Wild Mushrooms
This was lunch on our first day at Casa Paco. We had the menu del dia and these 2 dishes were our main courses. The menu del dia was 3 courses including a drink and came to 12 euros each.
We visited El Rinconcillo in the evening for tapas.
Chocos
This was one of the dishes, Chocos, which are chunky pieces of squid, breaded and deep fried. Great alternative to Calamari.
The next day we visited a vending booth near our hotel which sold the biggest Churros I've seen!
Massive Churros
We saw Flamenco in the evening at La Carboneria and had possibly the dirtiest, tastiest chorizo baguette ever.
Dripping!
It was dirty
We went for a drink after and had some small dishes
Pork Brocheta
Also dirty and tasty.
The next evening was a Sunday and we attempted a tapas crawl which I wouldn't recommend on a Sunday because a few places were shut all evening. We found some good places though.
We started at Bar Europa
Croquetas de Jamon Iberico
Warm Goats Cheese with honey
Oxtail Risotto (Lovely plate decoration hiding a chip on the dish)
Next stop was Bar Alfalfa (Great bar)
Estafado de Ternera (Beef Stew)
Pisto (Ratatouille)
Next was La Bodega
Fried Green Peppers
Solomillo
Then a quick drinks stop at one of the strangest bars we've been to.
It was well holy.
It was a weird place! (with our friends Vicky and Mario)
Next we're off to Bar Ajo Blanco for some Mexican tapas with a really hot homemade chilli sauce.
Chicken Taco and HOT Sauce
Finally we ended up at El Rinconcillo again for a night cap
Chorizo Blanco
If you stand at the bar your bill gets chalked up on the bar itself.
The final day we had a quick (and pretty greasy) lunch before we got the train to Jerez.
Spanish Version of a Full English
Slightly healthier Calamari, Aubergine in honey, Russian Salad and Croquetas
